The resource library contains a large collection of books and videos on Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias that are useful to health care professionals and families. Lending Library Policies

Lending Library Procedures for People with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia, their families, Alzheimer Society Support and Information Group facilitators and post-secondary students:

  1. People with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, their, Alzheimer Society Support and Information Group facilitators, and post-secondary students can borrow resources (books, videos, recreational items) at no charge for a period of two weeks.
  2. Borrowers are responsible for the cost of returning the resources to us by an insured method (e.g. courier, Priority Post).
  3. A reminder notice will be sent 7 days after the due date.
  4. If the resource is not returned within 30 days the borrower will be notified by telephone or in writing.
  5. After 60 days, the borrower will be invoiced for the cost of the book or video.

Personal Care Homes, Long-term care facilities, and educational institutions are encouraged to purchase an annual organization membership.

Lending Library Procedures for Non-Members:

  1. 1. Borrowing procedures are the same as for members. In addition a $2.00 fee is charged for the rental of resources and $5.00 for the shipping and handling. Shipping costs can be prepaid or they can be invoiced.
