Survivor Packet

A neat way to give this gift is to put the items inside a small fanny pack. However, a sealable plastic bag will also work. List the contents and comments on a recipe card and keep it in the container. Check with an adult to make sure that your grandparent can have all of the contents.

  • Safety Pin - to remind you to be safe
  • Lifesavers - to remind you that grandparents can be lifesavers
  • Card (with your name, address, and phone number) - so you can always find home
  • Map (with your street highlighted) - so you can find home
  • Quarter (plus a dime) – if you need to phone for help
  • Band-Aid - for hurt feelings, either yours or someone else's
  • Hershey's Hugs & Kisses -for when you need a hug or a chocolate fix
  • Rubber band - for staying flexible and bouncing back when you’ve been stretched to your limit
  • Small notebook & pen - for writing down things of importance
  • Tissues - to wipe away tears of joy/sadness or just to blow your nose
  • Peppermint - to remind you that you are worth a mint
