Let Me Call You Sweetheart

Gram used to sing this song to her husband, Grandpa Max. The song Let Me Call You Sweetheart occupied a special place in their hearts. Gram said that it was the first song that she and Grandpa danced to following their wedding reception. I can almost picture the two of them gliding across the dance floor in tune to the music…such a handsome couple, so light and graceful on their feet.

Let Me Call You Sweetheart

Let me call you sweetheart;
I'm in love with you.
Let me hear you whisper
That you love me true.
Keep the love light glowing
In your eyes so blue.
Let me call you sweetheart;
I’m in love with you.

Music by Leo Friedman (1910)
