Test Your Knowledge

Hi. My name is Adam and my Grandma Elsie has Alzheimer's disease. It came as quite a shock to our family because we’d never heard of the disease before. My sister Kolet immediately began to research the disease and now we know it’s quite common. I thought that Alzheimer's disease was an odd name until Kolet shared with me that ‘Alzheimer’ (AWLS–high–mur) was the name of the doctor that discovered it. That’s reasonable!

Kolet took all of us under her wing and shared her knowledge of the disease with us. Now that I’m more familiar with the disease, I’m anxious to help out wherever I can. After all, Grandma Elsie is an important part of my life. She taught me how to add numbers in my head and drilled me on the multiplication tables.

Since I’m a whiz at doing quizzes and solving problems, I thought I’d design some stimulating activities for the family to test how much they’ve learned about Alzheimer's disease.

Why don’t you tackle the Test Your Knowledge activities to find out how much you understand about Alzheimer's disease? As the English philosopher, Francis Bacon, once said, ‘Knowledge is power’. How powerful do you feel today?

Refer back to Kolet’s research if you have trouble finding the right answers, Good luck!
